The Shan National for Democracy (Japan) cerebrated the 60th Anniversary of Shan National Day at the SUNSHINE, ACADEMY HALL, Ikebukuro in Japan on 4th February.

The ceremony started from 5:50 PM to 9:30 PM of which the function was divided into two sections - the first part being for the celebration of 60th Shan National Day and the second being for the serving of Shan foods to the guests.

Mr. KUMAZAWA from Amnesty International Japan Branch, Mr. KURANO from PFB, U Shwe Ba (Japanese), Writer, Mr. TEJIWA and some other Japanese were present as the special guests in the function.

In addition, respresentatives from 13 political organizations also attended. One of them was our special guest speaker Mr. Pa Do Thu Yae from KNU who gave speech in Karen language. Mar Mar Aye, the famous Burmese Singer, was participating in the ceremony

Totally around 200 people participated in the ceremony of the 60th Shan National Day in Japan.
