"In Burma the Military Junta’s Terror Goes On As Alwaysâ€
On August 29, Two US Senators urged the US State Department to seek an emergency meeting in the UN Security Council to address the growing crisis in Burma.
The poor people of Burma have been brutally oppressed by the military since 1962, now it is high time for the international community to take actions strong enough against the genocide-regime in Naypyidaw!
Since August 19, when brave people went out to the streets to peacefully protest against the massive rise in fuel price and transportation fees, the repressive SPDC-junta as always, once again cracked down with the use of violence on the people.
Why should the junta generals change their strategy?
But this time the SPDC is more discreet when they act on the demonstrators, so far the SPDC authorities have not used army units.
Plain clothes police and security officers together with mob gang of the pro-junta USDA has been used for the arrest of protestors, and to crack down on reporters who try to photograph the demonstrations.
According to international child rights groups, in SDPC's forces (Tatmadaw) there are now at least 50,000 underage boys, who forcibly are so called "soldiers".
In the armed forces were the main task is to oppress the civilian population, particularly those people who live in the 7 ethnic minority states.
On August 25, in the Shan State near Muse Town, five young Kachin school boys aged 14, 15 and 16, were "recruited" with the use of force by the Burma army.
What a brutal Human Right Violation act, to take away children from their families and homes to force child-soldiers to use their weapons against their own people!
But on the other hand SPDC need every "soldier" they can get!
In Karen State, the Burma army continues with the large-scale 'Ethnic Cleansing' operations.
Battalions of Light Infantry Division 88 has been very active, the result is that more than 1,000 civilians have fled from their homes and villages.
The Burma army has for many years adopted the strategy in Karen State to expand the road and military camp network and to use the forced relocation in the remote areas.
The SPDC believe that with the use of this strategy they can control the population, also to cut off the armed resistance from the oppressed civilian population.
The grave and gross Human Rights Violations in Karen State are well documented.
There is a lot of evidence on SPDC's War Crimes in Burma.
UN, EU and individual democratic countries cannot say that they do not know what is happening in the world’s most brutal military dictatorship regime.
It is a shame for the international community that so far no actions strong and effective enough have been taken against the SPDC's genocide junta regime in Naypyidaw.
Since SPDC started to receive very large income on oil and gas exports, economic sanctions are not effective as a pressure, against the dictators.
Therefore the international community has to start to talk with the SPDC regime with the use of a language the military junta can not misunderstand.
It is high time for the world community to give the oppressed people of Burma support enough so that they all can gain safety and democracy!
